Lea Morrison

Hello and welcome,

I’m Lea, a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor, Trauma Educator, and Energy Healer.

With over a decade of experience, my work is grounded in a trauma-informed, relational approach that honours autonomy, safety, and lived experience. I believe meaningful healing begins when we are met with curiosity rather than judgment, and when we are supported in rebuilding self-trust, agency, and connection to ourselves.

Therapeutic counselling with me is a space to slow down and be met without needing to explain or perform. Together, we gently explore what has been shaping your responses, emotions, and patterns, not to force insight, but to understand how your nervous system learned to cope and what it needs now to feel steadier.

My practice is primarily focused on supporting women (18+) navigating emotional, relational, and nervous system-based challenges.

I also offer relational couples counselling for partners who want to better understand their patterns, improve communication, and build a more secure and connected relationship. This work is grounded in attachment and nervous system awareness, and is best suited for couples who are both willing to engage with honesty and shared accountability. It is not about determining who is right, but understanding how each person’s history is shaping the dynamic between you.

In addition to counselling, I offer energy healing as an optional, in-person complement to this work, integrated thoughtfully to support regulation, grounding, and connection to the body.

I support areas such as:

• chronic stress, burnout, depression, and anxiety
• relationship dynamics, including estrangement, attachment, and communication challenges
• midlife transitions, including perimenopause and menopause
• grief and loss, including ambiguous or complicated grief
• OCD and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
• somatic and energetic integration
• trauma and complex trauma (including PTSD and C-PTSD), including medical trauma, peri and postnatal experiences, and institutional or relational harm (including religious, childhood, and sanctuary harm)

I completed my counselling training at Kelowna College of Professional Counselling (with honours), and have pursued additional training in nervous system regulation, OCD and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), women’s mental health, and trauma-informed care through the UBC Trauma Institute. My background also includes training in Reiki and Quantum Touch, which inform the integrative approach I bring to this work.

I am also the founder of Mind Your Heart Academy, a trauma-informed education platform created to make this work more accessible for those who may not resonate with traditional therapy or are looking for additional support. Through MYHA, I offer resources that help individuals better understand trauma and stress responses, alongside workshops for professionals and organizations building more emotionally attuned and supportive environments.

Outside of my work, I’m a proud Mom and bonus Mom to four incredible kids, alongside one very human-like senior pup, which keeps me grounded in the real, everyday work of showing up. I was born and raised in Coquitlam, BC, and now live and work in the Okanagan Valley. I offer in-person sessions in Kelowna, as well as virtual sessions across British Columbia, Canada, and internationally.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or ready for something to shift, this work is here to meet you where you are, help you feel more steady in yourself, less reactive to old patterns, and more able to move through your life with clarity and self-trust.
