Lea Morrison

As a counselor, trauma educator, coach, and somatic energetic healer, I support individuals who have felt dismissed, unseen, harmed, or overwhelmed—especially within the very systems that were meant to help them. With over a decade of experience, I have observed how conventional approaches can fall short for those with complex stories. I believe that true healing begins when we are met with curiosity rather than judgment, and when autonomy is honored as a central part of the process. My work focuses on restoring self-trust, agency, and dignity through heart-centered, trauma-informed care.

Through multiple modalities of support, I offer a deeply relational and personalized approach to healing—rooted in both professional experience and my own lived journey with complex trauma. I support individuals navigating mental health not as a fixed identity, but as a natural, adaptive response to life experiences and transitions.

I also work closely with men who are untangling long-held patterns, rebuilding self-trust, and redefining what strength means—on their terms.

My work includes support for:

  • Medical trauma, postnatal and birth experiences, religious or childhood abuse, and institutional betrayal (including sanctuary harm)

  • Midlife transitions, including the emotional and hormonal impacts of perimenopause and menopause

  • Chronic stress, burnout, depression, and anxiety

  • Somatic and energetic integration

Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready to reconnect with yourself, our work will honour your story, your pace, and your innate capacity to heal.

This commitment to accessible, heart-centered care also led me to create Mind Your Heart Academy—a trauma-informed education platform offering resources and programs for those on a personal recovery journey who may shy away from traditional therapy, as well as for corporate teams and nonprofit professional groups seeking to build safer, more emotionally attuned spaces within their communities.

Personally, I bring to this work not only professional experience but also the heart of a mother. I’m a proud Mom, a bonus Mom to four amazing kids, and a dog mom to one part-human senior Pup, which keeps me anchored in the real, everyday work of showing up—messy, human, and full of care. Parenthood has deepened my respect for the nervous system, for the stories we carry, and for the courage it takes to heal.

Born and raised in Coquitlam, BC, I now live and work in the beautiful Okanagan Valley. I offer in-person sessions in Kelowna, as well as virtual sessions for clients across British Columbia, Canada, and Internationally. Whether you’re navigating a turning point, carrying something heavy, or simply ready to reconnect with yourself—this work is here to meet you, exactly where you are.
