Farah Kotadia
Hi, I’m Farah (pronounced Faa-Raa),
I am humbled by the resiliency of the human spirit, and the courage and strength it takes to be vulnerable. I practice counselling with a non-judgemental approach, creating a warm, open, and safe environment for clients. I believe that everyone is on their unique healing journey, and I want to honour that experience in a collaborative way.
I work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and trauma, as well as those searching for meaning in their work, who are exploring career transitions, navigating a toxic workplace or dealing with difficult co-workers.
My work is deeply rooted in community, social equity, mental wellness, diversity and inclusion. As a BIPOC woman having worked in the immigrant integration sector for many years, I bring a unique perspective to counselling, incorporating spirituality, mindfulness, cultural sensitivity and a trauma-informed lens into my practice.
My passion is to help people develop appropriate strategies and coping mechanisms to realize their power and potential, both personally and professionally.
